Is there a way to speed up the Detox Master Cleanse process?
With all of the Detox diet options out there today, it’s hard to choose which one is going to work
best for you or how long of a diet you should choose. They can range in length anywhere from a
day to months, or even a way of life with some diets. Because some people think that Detox
diets are unpleasant, they are often wondering if it’s possible to speed up the process. There
are ways to speed up the Detox diet results if you’re in a hurry, such as for a special occasion.

It is possible to do it faster with a few simple suggestions.
Drinking a lot of filtered water while you’re on a Detox diet can speed up the results a bit. The
toxins that are released into your bloodstream with Detoxification can be more quickly flushed out
of your system if you increase your water intake.
For some other helpful suggestions to expedite the Detox process, Ann Louise Gittleman’s book
“The Fast Track One-Day Detox Diet” includes advice such as increasing your fiber intake to help
speed up the process. She also explains the functionality of your liver and how it helps naturally
release toxins from your body. During the Detoxification process your liver works harder than
ever to break down everything that you eat and drink so that only nutrients that you need are
absorbed. Many Detox diets rely on lemon juice and orange juice for their benefits and these are
very helpful to the liver because they help keep it in optimal condition. Some other juices, such
as Grapefruit juice, can stop or slow the liver from doing its important job of cleansing the body.
Avoiding grapefruit when doing a Detox is imperative if you want to process to continue going
smoothly and can also speed it up.
There’s another book that is helpful as well if you’re looking to speed up the Detox diet
progress. “Alternative Medicine, The Definitive Guide” contains a chapter entitled “Detoxification
Therapies” where there are some suggestions to help expedite a Detox. These suggestions
include things like doing aerobic exercise (except when fasting will not allow due to weakness),
stretching and meditation or relaxation. Aromatherapy, massages, manual lymphatic drainage,
hydrotherapy and skin brushing (moving toxic lymph fluid through the lymph vessels) are also
effective methods of speeding up the Detox process. Who knew that brushing dry skin helps
increase its ability to get rid of toxins?
Sometimes increasing certain ingredients on a Detox diet can speed up the results. For
example, if you’re doing the Master Cleanse or another Detox diet that uses the lemon drink
containing cayenne pepper, you can use more cayenne pepper to help speed up the process if
you like. Peter Glickman describes the way that cayenne pepper breaks up mucus and dilates
blood vessels in the body for faster toxin elimination in his book “Lose Weight, Have More Energy
& Be Happier in 10 Days.”
All of these suggestions here will help you speed up the Detox process if you wish, but
remember that this means your body will be releasing toxins at an increased rate so your side
