How Does a Detox Diet Help Me Lose Weight?
Believe it or not, there are many toxic chemicals contained in air and food that can overwhelm our
bodies.  Because of these chemicals, food that is consumed isn’t processed by the body as
effectively as it could be.  It’s not uncommon to believe that if you very carefully keep track of what
you eat and drink and try not to put anything harmful into your body that you will avoid having
these toxins invade your body, however it’s inevitable that some of them are going to find their
way into your system anyways, no matter how hard you try.  

Where do these toxins come from?  They’re everywhere, from air pollution, drugs, alcohol, heavy
metals and plastics in the environment and a lot of other things that most people come into
contact with on a daily basis.  These things can cause our bodies to become invaded by all kinds
of toxins, which can actually lead to weight gain and water retention.  Detox diets are the cure to

from many years ago.  It’s important to drink a lot of water during Detox diets because it will help
you flush toxins out of your bloodstream faster.  Herbal teas and water are essential elements to
any Detox diet for this reason.

There are other ways that Detox diets help eliminate fat from your body as well.  Some places on
your body that seem to contain a lot of fat actually contain toxic fluid as well, so it often gets
confused for fat.  Your body can actually have an inflammatory response to toxins, so when they’
re removed and the toxic fluid is flushed from your body, you have the potential to lose up to 25
pounds of toxic fluid and fat combined.  This is a pretty impressive number!

In conclusion, it’s clear that Detox diets help people lose weight because of all of the toxins
being cleansed from their bodies and contributes to the proper functioning of organs.  If you want
your body to be able to properly process fats that are consumed, you need to rid it of toxins.  The
Detoxification process not only aides with that, but getting the toxins out of your body will help
your body better absorb nutrients and everything inside your body will be at its optimal
performance level, ultimately contributing to healthy weight loss.
